Stunt Bikers or Lawless Citizens

Stunt Bikers or Lawless Citizens.

Recent killing of Karan Padey while riding pillion with his friend Punit Sharma while stunt biking on city roads by police is shoddy. Police claimed that the bikers did not stop and pelted stones at the PCR van and the inspector, Rajneesh Parmar, aimed at the tyre but hit the pillion rider. The bullet for the tyre killed the rider Karan Pandey, only son of a lonely mother.

Police justified their action, but was the firing necessary for flouting a traffic rule of dangerous driving.  This is a serious threat to all the two wheeler riders, as the capital is 24 * 7 *365 barricaded and if unknowingly you don’t stop at some barricade , you might get killed.

The police is inefficient in finding how these biker gangs in hoards of hundreds are planning a common destination for their stunts. It seems they are very much inspired by the likes of Fast and Furious , Gone in 60 seconds, they are doing it for fun.

Stunt biking is a sport but practicing it on city roads is lawlessness. Lawless should be booked but should not be killed on roads.

Big Change - Living a Meaningful Life

Big Change - Living a Meaningful Life

The stories of Evan, Mittal and Arunachalam are simply amazing. Living a life for a cause is not easy but is simply amazing. All the three stories, Stopping gendercide, Plight of Nomadic Tribes and Usage of Sanity Napkins, is all happening in today’s world and we all know about this but these people have taken the issues into their own hands for the benefit of a lot more people and yes are definitely living a more meaningful life.
The first story by Evan Grae Davis is about stopping gendercide. Gender specific abortions is on the rise in India, though we have rules that pre determination of sex is illegal and is punishable under the law, it still persists. Mr Davis, a world traveler filmmaker by profession is working towards this cause.
The second story by Mittal Patel talking bout the plight of nomadic tribes, who don’t even have a voter's identity card to prove their identity is astonishing. Government has certainly taken to the cause of serpents than human beings. Amazingly Gujarat, a state which is in news for all kinds of development, this is the other side. A community which earns livelihood by prostitution is heart trenching. By getting 8 women married from the community Ms. Patel and her organization has helped the community to get a life.
The third story by Mr Arunachalam Muruganathan is a success story. A jolly good man, taking the stage to laughter with his anecdotes. As he speaks about his experience of the strange way the chemists behave when asked about a sanitary pad is extremely funny. But yes off course it is still true in our country. Though very little educated his concepts are really interesting. That is the reason he is invited to country's big B schools for lectures.
All the three stories have given us a reason to make our lives more meaningful by helping the society we live in and caring for the same.

Will is the Way -Quit Smoking

WORLD NO TOBACCO DAY- 31 MAY

My office is in the heart of Delhi, India. There are thousands of people whom i come across while i travel from my residence to my workplace and back. I see so many people smoking and on this day also i saw many people smoking and i guess they were not wary of this day being no tobacco day.

The government is spending a good amount of taxpayers money to educate people about the dangers one can face by consumption of tobacco but people are hardly listening and understanding. Instead I feel that more and more people from younger generation are getting  addicted to tobacco everyday.

One of my friends is a chain smoker. He used to finish 2 packs of cigarettes every day, and when i met him yesterday he finished 2 cigarettes in the time span of 2 hours. He suffers from bronchitis and severe asthma in winter season. But this is not a deterrent  He still smokes.

So, how to help somebody quit smoking. There are things like electric cigarette and nicotine lozenges which claim to deaddict smoking. People who are addicted to tobacco needs a very strong will power to quit smoking or any tobacco products.

In the end, its by the will and will only an addiction can be overcome. Where there is a will there has to be a way.

Wiring Issues of Husband and Wife

Husband and Wife.

They are one species but are species apart.  Its always been a great topic of debate to who is better and who does what and the one topic to which everybody fights to their core without any sympathy to the opposite…. But still loves the opposite.

As recently heard from a preacher, and loved the idea of using simple electronics word WIRING to make people understand the opposite sex in a relationship.

Man and Woman are certainly wired differently or else there would not be many fights on small and tiny issues. Everybody agrees. But to understand this wiring becomes a task of a lifetime.

As humans are to err is also a known fact and very true. Even after knowing what the opposite person likes or dislikes we often do the same thing which could become the reason for the next fight.

The question here is why humans err when they are the most intelligent species God has created.
Guess, Adam and Eve had that fruit of knowledge and wisdom, but could not figure out if the fruit was ripe.. J

RESPECT

Respect

Today, I was travelling in the metro train and as usual it was crowded. Though i boarded it just after two stations from the start of the train but i could not get a seat. I had my earphones plugged and was listening to music. I saw two guys looking fairly new to Delhi who had a good luck that they got seats but as soon as they saw a lady standing they left their seats and offered it to the lady.

So, I thought wow!! This is great. They are new to Delhi that is the reason they offered the seats. But later i realized  that yes they were indeed new but they were nurtured in such manner by  their elders to offer the seat to the ladies. Truly respectful.

So, I update my Twitter and Facebook accounts with my status saying "Respect is what we are fighting for and expecting in some or other way all our lives." and got varied reactions.

We do have commandment to respect the gray hair. Meaning to respect elderly. But do we respect.
I have so many questions on my head rite now.

As a commandment we need to but is it easy to respect any person without knowing him.
One of the comments said you need to earn respect. But to respect anybody you dont need to know the person. Respecting anybody should come naturally.

Only thing which i think applies is just to Give Respect, you will Get Respect but Don't expect.

CONGRESS WINS IN KARNATAKA

Congress Wins in Karnataka

So Congress wins with a full majority after 14 years. Just like vanavaas of Rama from Ramayana.. The comparison may or may not hold to be true.. It will be decided by time.

The good news is the troublesome BJP government of Karnataka is gone for a toss.. Badly beaten and bruised by the Congress. A score of 121- 40- 40 - 6 is amazingly good..

Mr. Yeddyurappa has definitely done the damage to the BJP. but Congress succeeded in increasing its vote share by just 2.46%. But this 2.46% raise has resulted in increasing its tally by 50%.

Though Bangalore the capital of Karnataka has voted for BJP, which shows the facebook, twitter and socially networked people have a different idea, an idea and thinking different from the masses.

Anyways, what is expected of the new government is no corruption, more development (off course of the rural areas  and urban areas inclusively), equality of religion (so that no more senas disrupt the churches or any other religious structures and gatherings),  freedom to celebrate any kind of day including Valentines day. (Remember the Pink Chaddi campaign.) So that peace and prosperity prevails in the State and the Country.

Flowers Can Make You Smile

Flowers Can Make You Smile

Everybody fights. From a small kid to an adolescent to an adult. Siblings fight. Parents fight. Friends fight. Couples fight.

But all is good till the time you know how to end a fight.

It is not possible to agree on everything a person says and arguments are a part of life, but do we really need to fight, argue, cry-over, scold, use filthy words, break things, stop talking to each other (momentarily or forever), mimic, etc etc to subdue our anger and say that he/she does not understand.

The verse from Colossians 3:8 says "But now you must put them all away:anger, wrath, malice, slander and obscene talk from your mouth."

It is not at all easy as it seems, to put away all the anger. Malice means extreme anger according to google dictionary.

Anger is the cause of a fight. How can we put away Fights or angry arguments.
I read somewhere that no couple should sleep without ending their argument ( a better way of saying a fight) and start the next day afresh.
There are many ways to end a fight. You can cook a good dish if its a couple fight. If its a teenage fight you can always end it with a chocolate. If parents are fighting, then children can help them by ending their fight by simply talking to both of them and the best i feel for all kinds of fight on this planet is to give flowers to a person with whom you are fighting. It always brings a smile and the fight is put over.

Blogging Day

Today - Blogging Day

Today is the day after joining blogger wayback in 2007, have actually started blogging. For the interest of typing my own words, i joined blogspot but did not blog all this time..

Woke up in the morning to the crackling sound of utensils from the kitchen..not an unusual sound for those who wake up a little late than others in the family. Saw couple of Greater Coucals
Greater Coucal
. Never have I seen these beautiful creatures earlier.

Reached office and was discussing about this bird and got to know from this learned man who used to work in Delhi zoo earlier that this  bird is a scavenger bird... and not that great.

But by the beauty of this  bird I am awestruck.
